Everlasting Love Letter
From God’s heart, enclosed with purity
His compassion, charity divine
ceaselessly prevailing midst abounding iniquities
reached down to my earthly residence
through His precious love letter:
the Scriptures, forever declaring His kindness’ care…
I thank Him, it was delivered to me at last!
Sealed with the Saviour’s unfailing mercy
His love letter keeps sailing through the sea of life
revealing blood-paid sacrifice for humanity’s ransom
as well as redemption security, expressing His love triumphant
bringing forgiveness and peace...
I praise Him, it gripped my soul where it should reign and last!
Having read Christ's love letter upon faith's comprehension
I'm assured of His gift of everlasting life*
thus, my grateful spirit yields to Him
vowing to share its blessings' bounty
exuding with sweet bliss, serene graciousness
while prayerfully publishing His message of kindness and hope…
since it can never become the last!
*John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
