I enjoyed this. The first line engages wonder immediately; good. I also find "canopies" as a verb to be in a similar vein, but I was momentarily confused, thinking "fashions" was a noun (but it is still effective; keep it). Aside from that, the expansive end rings of perfect truth without being maudlin. I want it to be longer but it should not be. Very very good!
