Evergreen

Oblique, the angels in my mind, your Christmas words have willed. The angles of a valentine, upon my window sill. Replete with every Holiday I've gained along or lost, to save them for a greater day, at such a greater cost. Today the Evergreen is me, I'm standing in the snow, decorated by the stars, with cosmic afterglow. The icy branches sparkle, and glimmer in the beams, of candles in the windows, of children lost in dreams. The tinkling bells of winter, laugh beneath my boughs, Alive I find,my peace of mind, resides in here and now.
