Everchanging
To remember, to forget.
Believing we have choice.
But our desire unmet,
reveals a silent voice.
Joyful moments,
times of great pain.
Everchanging sentiments,
we lose, we gain.
Love that is true,
sadly turns to hate.
Whatever we knew,
we now speculate.
A memory to hold near,
or to throw away.
Those found dear,
we freely display.
Tears that we cry,
the laughter we share.
Saying goodbye,
always being there.
Holding on, letting go,
our emotions, denied.
Fate, veiled in shadow,
will ultimately decide.
