Ever Nurturing...

So tender your nape
as the hair parts,
falls forward,
exposes that which is
hidden beneath
the armor worn...

You give to me
this parting of your soul
cognizant
to pain, to suffering
I might deliver.
But, tender lips
to the edges
of your unveiled emotions,
instead I apply.
