Evening On the Pier

Vast sea, sunset at shore, Amazing soulful ride, Evening's wedding bride, Stand once on pier! Mystic awe keeps afloat, Enticing soothing breeze, Constantly blowing freeze, Tides drift, giggle ! Enthrals the wooden wharf, All longing put to rest, Swollen sea reaches crest, Sailors' harbour ! Written on 9/7/14 3 stanzas 6/6/6/4 n 2nd n 3rd lines rhyme By Dr. Upma A. Lovely evening on the pier, Upma, where the water appears in a happy mood. The bride looks out at sea, fantasizing about the vastness of the married life she has embarked on. Congrats on a very lovely poem and fine win. // paul
