Evening On the Pier

Enjoy simple pleasures Sun setting overhead Hues of orange and red Stunning beauty Fishermen sit waiting For a big fish to bite Catch one with pure delight Superb supper Moon glints on still waters Casts a silvery glow Clouds create a shadow Dark inky sky

Nette I based my poem on the local pier 5 minutes walk from my house - quite often you will see fishermen with their rods and the sun sets and moonlight i see often when we go out walking at night. I was so delighted to get placed so highly in the contest. Hugs Jan xxx
