All our unknowns help pain grow
Deep in my heart
My mind sees forever
Is that what sets us apart

On the outside I smile
Knowing damn well I won’t
Ever get a taste of
What I’m wanting the most

Even though I don’t hold you
I can’t let you go
I walked away to find out
What I’ve always known

This love bridge is burning
With a romantic glow
Even though I don’t hold you
I can’t let you go

I dream of a night
Where it’s just you and I
Reaching through darkness
For our very first time

The shadows of regret 
Formed so long ago
May the lie we keep living
Finally make itself known
