Even a Princess Needs Validi
Shapeless clouds upon blue skies
raindrops fall from hazel eyes
mirrors of life have been a let down
as self worth appears in anothers frown
always held to a higher strand
bred exclusively to a name brand
normalcy is far too plain
belonging to poverty and pain
what is life but a facade
when confined within a pod
socially inept, totally afraid
trying to be what God forbade
lonely nights of darkened skies
provide little comfort when she cries
feelings of emptiness rob her sleep
nothing has eyes, not even the sheep....
