Eulenflug/ Flight of the Owl/ Vuelo De La Lechuza

Am späten Abend
Eine einsame Eule
In ihrem tiefen Flug

An einer hellen Mondnacht
Das leichte Rauschen vom Fluss

-------------------------------------

In the late evening
A lonesome owl
In her deep flight

At a bright moonlit night
Light rushing of the river

-------------------------------------

Una lechuza solitaria
A última hora de la tarde
En su bajo vuelo

A noche brillante de luna
Ligero murmurio del río

Nice picture of the night and the owl portrayed with your words, Gert! I see you speak and write French pretty good as I read your comments on my latest poem. Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you are doing well. Thanks for sharing. Alles Gute, Caroline.

Your poem reminds me of the "lonesome owl" I left at my former home in Tallahassee, Gert. When it was a baby, I had intervened and saved it from a hawk. Not long after that I began having nightly concerts. How I miss this owl. A favorite poem for me from a favorite poet. You always stir something deep in my heart, dear friend. Love, Carolyn
