Ethereal

A lake surface undisturbed
A beautiful face reflected
As if inhabiting the moonlight
Wherever I go I see those hues
A pair of beautiful eyes
That melt my very soul
And to your reflection I confess
The feelings harbored in my heart
That manifested months ago
How I wish I could tell you everything
But the truth is I don't think
My voice is the right one
To say the words you might want to hear
So I sit here next to the lake
Where even the winds are still
And I imagine in my fantasy
That which will never be reality
Because you're too good for me
And eventually one day your reflection
Will disappear from the lake surface
But the memory will forever
Be etched in my heart
