Eternal Teardrops

I can't surrender you; you are mine But I've depleted the comfort denial gave Your relief, I must redefine There is no life left in prolonged death My love can not restore your breath To your doorway, now, angels brave The stars are yours, with Venus you shine Transcend from flesh-bound brevity Millstones ephemeral, all cease Too light for gravity So rise, in resplendent revere I was wrong to keep you here With tears, and a kiss, I release You to eternity. 8/18/18

"But I've depleted the comfort denial gave..." completely honest, open-hearted write, Michelle. Written with finesse, of the dignity of letting go. A brave poem...(((Hugs)))

Sadly beautiful. Letting go is never easy even if it is the right thing to do. Nicely written.

Beautiful and sad both echo during the read, and after. To me, this is truly a poem that stays with the reader as its depths are far greater than the lines so well delivering it. Aw - I best find something funny to read. This is a poem to be appreciated. All the best ... CayCay
