Eternal Rest (Angel of Sadness)

I’m trying so hard to erase this frown
For I’ll never know when eternally I’ll lay it down
Times that I don’t know
I just stomp and go
Never falter
How I miss the gauntlet so
Scramble my life in a song
You can say what you want
But I know there’s no place like home
For I have been alone, for so very long
It doesn’t just come to me
I live it
Several times a day
I’d be willing to give it
Nights fall
But my weary days still loom
I want the lights and all
But there’s no room
Highlights plague me
And my mistakes preview my doom
So I’m trying so hard to erase this frown
For I’ll never know when eternally I’ll lay it down
