Eternal Optimist
A distorted focus
A false illusion of
glee that is yearned
boom.
While ignoring hopeless
let thoughts teach
that we haven’t learned
boom.
Shedding tears never stops
the shock value of
nothingness
boom.
I volunteered to be
adopted by
the government
boom.
Too late for regret
never to soon
for dread
boom.
Maybe I should have
went to college instead
boom.
Surrounded by
silhouettes and shadows
I call friends
boom.
In all reality
they’re only entities
my optimum apprehends
boom.
Not much time left
I’m hoping the sky
is a nightmare
boom.
Not much time left
I’ll open my eyes
when I get there.
