Notes About The Poem

Eternal Grief

"For certain is death for the born and certain is birth for the dead; therefore over the inevitable thou shouldst not grieve." Bhagavad Gita, (Gita, Chap 2, Sec. 27) So why do I come to you with these roses to lay on your stone cold tomb? And oh, why do I weep when I am thinking of you? This eternal grief, these rusted chains wrapped on my soul are keeping me from living life. _____________________________________ November 1, 2016 Poetry/Verse/Eternal Grief Copyright Protected, ID 16-851-091-0 All Rights Reserved. Heartfelt grief, but there is a time to come when God will wipe away all our tears:)

Perhaps the quote is based on misplaced faith. We can never understand the universe. Grieving is not something you can avoid. You are not that kind of person. You are rather completely magical and wonderful. What I find has helped me is to view my life as a continuation of theirs. Perhaps the quote is based on reality. You by your words memories and deeds bring them back. There is some of them in you. Who knows. Have a wonderful day. You are so thought provoking and a real spirit.

Wow , very powerful! The grief can feel like chains. So hard for loved ones to move on after loss. Well written.
