For Edward Ibeh's Contest : This Or That, Vol. 30

Title chosen : Etched In Stone

______________________________________

The whirlwind of time wafts my soul away from me transiently rooted in the present, to the distant desolate island of insulation, where my home was once, but I left it forever. That’s the fading past, receding fast redundant, but lingers on to be abandoned and obliterated. I trace the shifting shimmer to the furtive future, configuring the migratory mirage of illusive love, that the sands of time carry as entrancing delusion across the lonely life, landscaped in deserted mind, where in dry dunes dwells the desire of perpetuity with the dormant dream of everlasting enchantment. I perceive the preserved essence of latent memory, resurrect from the receptive recess of the past, revive as the metamorphosed bird of my liberated love, soaring upbeat with my present in your silken sky, spreads the fantasy wings to embrace enthralled the lasting happiness in the halcyon horizon of future. I drift with the elements of the imperishable soul, sail serene toward the sublime sea of eternity, steered by the congenial wind of unabated love, blowing on the sanguine sail designed by desire. I wish to get from the stalled time's generosity, the gift of my soul etched in stone of immortality.
