Essence of Soft Shadows

Life holds a spectrum of possibilities 
Live it in the moment and ride 
it into the sunset
Dipping my pen into my soul
I give words to my thoughts,
allowing the sun to shine upon
my writing

Not letting images darken 
my future
as a storm of thoughts 
steal my mind
Consuming me with 
a need to know

Wanting only shades of excellence,
shining light into all darkness
not to be overcome by 
a fool's journey

Remember with every 
downpour 
there is a rainbow
chasing it's beauty
so I wont get caught up
in a downward spiral

Strength is in love as it brings 
color to my soul
With my heart left open
none can take from me

A hand up does not 
bring me down
rather it lifts me higher

Welcoming others inside
my heart,
Opening myself to 
those possibilities 

And if color is absent 
i still have
