That is so sad. He had something called Bronz Diabetes that has more treatment options today. It leads to dementia if untreated. That had to be really difficult for him. Since I have a grandson with Huntington's Disease, I can somewhat grasp what he was going through. You have given a good short Epigram of his end. Sara

I can't read this and not think of the great Novel"The Old Man and the Sea". Ernest Heningway,a big man indeed..Yep He had it all.Women, travel,Success,Best Of writers..He lived life to the full..yet in the end his world was changing,,His accident,the tragedies of family and friends,i bet His depression took over...yet He ll always be a monument in History..Indeed a great writer,,One i admire so much..great write Raul--Charma..
