I sip and ponder Ernest-ly Across the table from me I reach out and touch Emily's hand My friends I truly understand Time and space The table But dears I see each face You're present right before me now As words written can allow I hear your tears Across the years I cry with you your words ring true I reach out across the table only as I'm able

After reading the Drink of the Flowing Pens I assume you are talking about Hemmingway and Dickinson in this poem as well. Their words still ring true today. Nicely done, Betty Jo. John
