Eraser of Time

As I look in the mirror, the things I've done
Keep haunting me from the past
I wish I could erase those memories
And the evil my shadow has cast

An eraser of time is what I need
To undo the mistakes I've made
I would erase all the lies I've told
And the games I always played

I would undo all the pain I've caused
And the tears I've made to fall
While erasing all the unkind words
That I've said to one and all

I would erase all those heartaches
That I selfishly caused in vain
I would erase all of their lonely nights
And undo all of their pain

If I only had an eraser of time
My reflection would smile outloud
I'd be the man that I wanted to be
That would make my mirror proud

But of course they are all erased once you go to the Lord, Larry. Too bad we as mortals cannot erase our feelings against others that easily. Congratulations on your fine win! Luv, andrea

Great thoughts that you have penned in this one where we would change things if we could but we can't and we'll continue being human...We will always make mistakes and sin but as we mature we become better at not making the same mistakes thank God for that...We can always ask for forgiveness and forgive other people who have wronged us and that makes life more livable...Keep the creative pen flowing.. Good luck in the contest...Sara

Your verses flow so well with rhyme and melody, Larry. You and Barbara will be competing for top honors in this eraser contest. Wish there was such a device available to us all! Love, Carolyn
