Equinox Hibernation

Hear the weather
upon the roof,
Winter is a'coming:
As landscapes
drowse
Autumn arrives
on the wind:
Wardrobes are
ransacked,
thermostats
turn red-
so earlier to bed

Love the phrase "as landscapes drowse". Equinox here, this year, falls into an unseasonal heat wave; it is in the mid-nineties and we are turning the A/C colder. I can't wait for fall weather.
