Equality

People lying under matresses or dead on the street You want to close your eyes perhaps even retreat You don't know who you should blame which finger to point You don't know who to name because we're all guilty You see people lining the gutter homeless and crying What should we tell them? "Oh we're trying"? It's so easy to put shame on someone else Just as long as it's anyone but yourself People without food or decent water Their clothes are filthy and their hair is greasy So many innocent people left to be slaughtered It wasn't just one type of race One ethic culture Each person has a different face But people are blind They rather look away from truth Than to pay it any mind It doesn't matter how hard you try Or which person you blame The skies will open up and cry To mother nature, we are one in the same We all have to account for a different person's sin So why place blame why even begin? People are dead Some they are in pain Homeless, without a bed Without families console eachother because in the end all we have is one another
