Epitaph For the Hero--Sedgewick

Bloody little wings falling from the sky torched clouds breaking down a savior died before my eyes tear drops from heaven fall my baby dead, my lover lost fog over a dusty mantle pall sacrifices and lives cost life at end things at stake underneath earth's window i break for you i fought and for you i bled but now you lie still and coldly dead i wish i could have seen your face before you left this dismal place i loved you then and even now though i failed, i kept my vow angels fail sometimes it's true sadder still when they failed you so on i linger and on i tread i am still here and you are dead
