~ in an emotional storm, it's easy to go blind ~ quote by poet

You always gave me black roses,
the color marks your status
A charming charlatan,
who doesn't see his own shadow

With a transparent gaze,
highlighted your own achievements
Covered up weaknesses,
and inability to listen

I was gullible and hungry,
the outside world disappeared
Now I understand who you truly are
your frayed morals were poisonous

Some imposters are hard to be identified initially as they are so clever. Congratulations dear Anne on your great win 👏

Very well, written. Tell that imposter what for, score points for your truths that you'll move on from, but he'll have to learn or lie to himself. CayCay

The late discovery is soul hitting. To be cheated by someone who hides a sinister soul beneath the facade of gentleness is more than we can bear. Love and hugs.

Yep, heart deception is the worse. Something an honest heart cannot rehearse for protection. Great writing, Anne.

Sigh yes, i also love your quote! And your poem is resonating to the core, dear Anne-Lise, it's only after the huge destruction that we are able to see that their charming flattery only remains soaked with lies, as their cruel intentions themselves.. same goes for love..when we crave for true affection, they are in their own demonic world, making conspiracies to trap us in their webs. "Your frayed morals were poisonous" ahh yes, so powerfully described! Please reading you always, sweet soul ~ Hugszzz, sending you starlight and moonbeams 🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️💫💫❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Anne-Lise, your beautiful poetry depicts loss and personal progress. The picture of "black roses" conveys duplicity and the intricacy of love.
