Envoy
Chance did not cause this bird to land
so boldly in this holy place.
No, he was led there by God’s hand,
a well planned picture of true grace
for those interred in this small space.
Even most casual passerby
will slow his pace and feel a thrill
or wipe a tear from out his eye,
amazed by noble bird so still,
intent on mission to fulfill.
