Envisioning Dawn On Winter's Stream
(Looking back, I rather miss December now!!)
Envisioning Dawn on Winter's Stream
Rising up midst tall, thin, frosted trees,
December Dawn has cast herself onto
a wintry stream so silent and so still,
and at this wondrous time – so icy blue!
I picture Dawn a goddess as her lips
dip into winter’s stream as if to drink
sweetly from it; my mind sips this scene
of Dawn’s mouth on the water – smiling pink!
Now fully risen, Dawn reveals her gown -
the light of sun shimmering like beads
dripping down to warm the frigid stream.
She beams with satisfaction; day proceeds.
