knotted life
twisted fortune
reason unbalanced
premises mixed up
conclusions invalid
feelings snarled
emotions jumbled
omnipresent confusion
she cut the cord
severed the rope
disconnected the puppet
hacked off the knots
disconnected attachments
rationale embraced
tenderness kissed
she started to breathe
