Entangled and Entwined

And so it begins again, This dance we do. Spinning about Arm in arm Soaring above the fray Lifted to the heavens Entangled and entwined The taste of your lips: Transcendent Your fingers down my spine: Shudders and tremors and quivering euphoria Shoes and shirts and trousers Scattered all around I want you inside me But, the moment has to wait (I let my kisses linger, Let my hunger grow.) There are other ways to please you, And in our ardor we cannot haste. After all these years, Our momentum does not slow. Finally, decisively: We move toward the bed Falling down Arm in arm Swimming against the tide Lifted to the heavens Entangled and entwined © 2009 Raymond J Wright
