Enough Is Enough
Pay close attention to the words I say;
We're living our nightmares every single day.
We're still crying cuz people are dying
From robbing, stealing, stabbing, and lying.
Bombs going off, gunshots fired;
I'm so sick of tired of being sick and tired.
God is watching you and doesn't like what he sees:
So before it's too late, you better get on your knees.
My heart hurts when I watch the news;
I have so many questions because I'm so confused.
Somebody tell me what the hell is going on:
One day you're here, next day you're gone.
Now our lives will never be the same.
So what did we do to deserve this pain?
I'm at a loss for words, all I do is cry:
There's another question I need to ask: Why?
This is a message to everyone around the world,
To every man and woman, and every boy and girl.
I'm not a preacher, but I'm speaking from the heart;
We must get together 'cause we're falling apart.
United we stand, divided we fall;
This isn't just a poem; it's a wake up call.
You shouldn't have a gun or even need a knife;
You don't have to take away another precious life.
You can't keep shooting people, kids, and cops:
I can't take this anymore; this has got to stop.
I'm just a messenger; I'm here to spread the word,
And I urge everyone to let your voice be heard.
Open your eyes now, and you will see
If you wants to make a change, it starts with you and me.
Let's love one another when times are tough;
Let the haters know once and for all enough is enough.
