              Paint your lips and your lashes
                 cloak yourself in perfume

              Suit yourself, lady, ‘til the day of your doom

Mixed emotions on this one: yes, one should avoid being surface, superficial, but I have no problem with self respect, impeccable fashion and appearance. I love art, period. Dressing with class is a form of art...and appreciation of beauty. Why does everything have to be either or? Just my opinion. Probably wrong as decoratively usual. Oh, very well expressed. Impeccable writing my friend. Like yourself, I go out of my way to flawlessly present. Put lipstick on everything I write.
