“I'm a conundrum. Or an enigma. I forget which.” James A. Owen
I am a midsummer storm, veiled in cerulean smiles, swirling above sangria seas~ enveloped in gracious glimmers of the unicorn sun, where the black dahlias dance, and onyx-winged butterflies never die but flutter lemonade lies. Yet whiffs of clary-sage breeze unravel crystalline clairvoyance, calming the chaos tangled in corals of confusion~ searching for something real, like sparkling sapphires, floating in charismatic cadence. Tonight, I’ll walk through the untouched wilderness~ seeking Ayurvedic clovers coated in perennial peace. There, purple petals of iris thrive from amorous herbs, in the fragrant heritage of blooming purity, whilst acrylics on my cranberry canvas shift in slow waves, reminding blazing stars to flicker penciled streaks of clemency, mirroring my love-glazed heart that gently beats~ in sync to the virtuous violin whispers. Perhaps, I am the birth of a tragedy unspoken, when love soars, intoxicated from the scented sins, of a poisonous pleasure drenched in whiskey and roses, drowning in foxglove fantasies from loneliness.. I ponder, if I were like the darkness, cuddled by the stars, will I be found? Or would I forever be an enigmatic embodiment too deep for the shallow shadows that dare not feel beyond what is to be seen? So if tomorrow, there is no poetry, I hope you’ll remember beyond my skin and name.. I could be your frozen flower, or the warm willows; snapdragon and sweet-pea. There is no synonymous noun to depict the aura of a citrine arc, lost within faded lines of phased seasons.

This poem is more an enigma for me than you are. I am tottering under the weight of the metaphors and similies used. With the opening stanza itself, I started floundering. I wonder from where your poetic inspiration comes. Your matchless alliterations are a salient feature of all your poems. To your question --- "would I forever be an enigmatic embodiment too deep for the shallow shadows that dare not feel beyond what is to be seen?", my answer is your personality is beyond what is seen, growing out of the frame. With your poetry, as you keep weaving a hypnotic spell and as you are there always to encourage the 'lesser poets' you'll be remembered as a dear presence ever, I can assure.

The stars were once the darkest I once read. "I ponder, if I were like the darkness, cuddled by the stars, will I be found? You wouldn't only be found, you would be celebrated. You stand out and it's about you. Your words are you. You breathe into them. "So if tomorrow, there is no poetry, I hope you’ll remember beyond my skin and name." You could be my chocolate even. I will always remember. Your shine would always whisper through anything you come as. Lovely piece Dear Ink.

You chose the perfect quote for yourself. I think I'd is first one I've seen using that quote . Beautiful as always, dear. Especially the last part.

This is deep and emotive introspection which poetically captures the essence of nature, emotion, and introspection through vivid imagery and evocative language. As always your use of metaphors and similes brings each scene to life, painting a picture of a world where nature's beauty intertwines with the complexities of human emotion. There are so many wonderful lines here especially about the frozen flower and how you used an oxymoron there... An excellent entry for the contest, BOL in it..
