England Mine
Those lush green hills
Bank on bank of daffodils
Sentient wooded glade
Bluebells hide in shade
Oh this England mine
Once upon a time
Fields of golden corn
An ever fragrant dawn
Skylarks sing on high
Peace in cloudless sky
Oh this England mine
Once upon a time
Babbling waters flow
In the evenings glow
Stand and cast the fly
The wily trout to sly
Oh this England mine
Once upon a time
In another land far away
Life and death doth play
Of dried earth and baked blood
Yet at night the memories flood
Oh sweet England mine
Once upon a time
