Engaging the Senses with Birds

I'm delighted to touch these feathered fowls* mentioned by the Scriptures They are God’s wondrous song bird-creatures Of marvelously melody-producing features Blessed to triumph along freedom-ventures. I'm grateful to the Creator to hear their singing delight Beautifying their musical roles by His wisdom’s light… The songbirds keep on soaring, showing cheer’s might While we learn from them to prevail toward heavenly flight. I'm awed to see and behold the workmanship of the Designer of great magnificence Who allows them to display their bird’s nature midst grace-iridescence As they inspire humankind with their lovely presence That praises the Lord along environment’s license.
*Psalm 78:27 He (The LORD) rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea. February 12, 2019 Edited on June 30, 2026 1st place, "Engaging The Senses..." Poetry Writing Contest Sponsored by Natasha L Scragg; judged on 7/1/2026

The birds are so delightful Beata and its a joy to see how you have engaged the Senses with your love of birds. The iridescence is something I marvel at too. Some of them make the most unexpected sounds. That you for this sweet entry to the contest. :-D
