Engaging All The Senses

I have HEARD a lot during my 76 years plus.
Both bad and good news have entered my ears.
A lot more will be heard before I kick the dust.
I am blessed to be without the use of hearing aids.

My TASTE buds are great each time I dine;
Especially when there's black walnut ice cream.
And say nothing of those hot baking AROMAS
Of my dear wife's 'to die for' home-made rolls.

On a hot summer day, what's better than a cool
breeze or a cold refreshing drink Of lemonade?
There's nothing like the FEEL of a warm imbrace.
And I can SEE clearly with help from my glasses.

Lovely expressions of appreciation for the homely things. I like the way you show you're comfortable. How engaging the senses with the everyday things are blessings within themselves.
