Enemy
I dare you to dare me.
Prayers answered by fire,
will expose you to the light,
because you only thrive in the night,
taking them victim while they sleep, on long unplanned trips,
and tormenting them in their dreams.
I will be your victim no more, because
I am in the dark no more.
I wear red so I can put you to test,
since you will not let me rest,
It’s just a color after all.
Like blood, some roses are red
signifying life and beauty,
because life is beautiful.
Let’s talk about your favorite color,
white signifying purity,
although you wear it with no dignity,
It is all covered with stains and
you have no shame in trying to explain.
I said I will put you in your place,
so I can have peace and be at ease.
With you gone to where you belong,
I will finally say to you, so long.
