Endure
Endure
We’ll be happier
Anywhere away from here
Faded stars in our eyes
Darkness consume our hearts
Bitter seeds and toxic fumes
Buried in our backyard
Energy flows
Wherever we go
I will wait for you forever
In your unchanging solitude
I’m hanging on to the legends of old
The grand stories told
Of chance
Of romance
I sing behind my broken guitar strings
On a mountain range
The grass is bluer there
Where jeans bleed and dye on clothing
Raking leaves in the autumn
Gloom and breeze
You hold me through the storm
The demons are gone
Free falling from the rooftop of our house
Onto the trampoline that dances to our every tune
Somewhere deep in the forest
True love reside
Where nature reigns and breathes life into
The most fond of hearts
Still, we drop and plunge into the water
Before taking lessons
So we drown and nearly die of suffocation
The learned are students of life
Those who seek knowledge for understanding
You’ll find me outside the door ,waiting
Waiting and waiting some more
With patience I shall endure
