End of Days
I once had a happy dream
Life was fair and pure
Then I awoke in a horrid scream
To find the world I really knew
Too many people with too much time
To sit and ponder how to steal a dime
Never caring for the golden rule
Do unto others as they do unto you
If you were to run across someone dying in the street
Would you call for help or simply begin to tweet?
So much technology, so little humanity
It’s no wonder the world is in the depths of insanity
Surely this must be the end of days
Oh how I hope when I see how we have gone astray
We stab our dearest friends straight in the back
Then smile in their faces, such sniveling hacks
Yes, I am jaded but life made me this way
To see the fall of heart every single day
So as you gaze into your fine mirror
Remember this and your own self error
