End of a Tiring Day
The clouds burst open
With a torrential downpour.
The loud drumming on the rooftop
Heard inside the safety of my bedroom.
Snuggled under the warmth of my duvet,
Flames red in the fireplace,
Soft light of candles burning,
Body relaxed after a tiring day,
Savouring the moment of pure joy and contentment.
