Encounter
Encounter
I push my way through the brush, fighting to keep the limbs out of my face, all the while I hear the sounds behind me. As I exit the suffocating limbs and branches, I enter an area of stately pine trees, I notice there are no sounds of birds, insects, just the voices and footsteps behind me. I stop for a moment to catch my breath, and I began to see the shadows all around, humanoid shadows moving in discord. I began to run, pushing my body beyond its limits, but I had to escape these things, what did they want, why are they following me. I’m at the brink of collapse when suddenly I am hit by a blinding white light. My body is ridged, I can’t move a finger, and I can hear the creatures walking around me whispering. I try to look at them, but I am unable to move my head. All of a sudden, my body goes limp, and I fall to the ground, silence abounds for several moments, then I began to hear the birds, and the wind blowing through the trees, at that moment I knew they were gone.
