Empty Pages

Wasted hours wasted years
Unjustified ink and crumpled paper wasted
Researching learning planning
Never following through
Twenty seven notebooks for eighty two projects
Empty pages I never seem to fill
Infinite words none worthy of eternal placement
Submission deadlines come and pass
Still I stare at desolate white lines
I believe I have a story to tell
I don't know where to start
Wasting energy opportunity and youth
Imagining someday they'll read my opus
Hoping someday they'll understand my message
