Oww! And how I love pancakes or waffles and good maple syrup. I'll even settle for Aunt Jemima. Trouble is - sugar in the morning is a bummer. A very tasty Senryu, Sara. Love, Dave

Is Vermont Maple as nice as Canada's? Thanks for your love. Joy (Jew)

In answer to your question-maple syrup is a wonderful thing, and yes, the last drop is precious. In my past, I might stick my tongue or a finger inside the bottle. A point of trivia--icicles on maple trees sometimes develop a little maple flavor, and we always buy the real thing, not the flavored corn sweetener because somethings can't be compromised. So--you eat oatmeal too! You have glorified these little pleasures so nicely. Your poem is a teaspoon full of sugar.

Now I know where to send all that maple syrup my New England friends keep sending me. The next bottle is yours, Sara. They seem to have an endless supply and I just like butter on my pancakes. Cute senryu! Love, Carolyn

Have you ever held that bottle upside down shaking it hoping to get just one drop for that oatmeal because you like brown sugar and maple flavor?...Sara
