Empowered Women
When majestic Australia met musical New Orleans
A funny girl full of dance found true romance
A marriage of two gracious Queens
Circulating love on Earth to purposely enhance
Ellen paid life's tuition with or without others permission
Not surprised two positive powerful women yoked
Are willing to bring others dreams to gleeful fruition
Life peppered with charity, humility and love soaked
Portia comes from a land of incredulous beauty
Ellen was born where music and song are intuition
Both advocate for animals and charity equivalent to a duty
Humorously lifting spirits akin to a healing physician
Upon reflection I was surprised no one has written you two a song
If I master that skill, I will, but until my sonnet is where you belong
