Emotions
This is written by a 12 year old student of mine. I am just the vehicle.
Emotions
He wanted to capture conversations
And take someone else's lines
He wanted to steal the sunlight
To capture it in a jar
And watch through the class as it shines
Wanting to spit out the truth
And have it dribble down his chin
To see all his pain and sorrow
as it escapes from the abyss within
He wanted to show you his tears
so that you could collect them like rain
And teach him that pain
Was never his fault
He wanted to yell at the top of his lungs
"But still I persist"
And brings his tears to a halt
He wanted to inhale the sorrow
And make sure that there was no room for gray
So that there was sunlight tomorrow
And he wanted to teach people
That perfection is artificial
And that the only route to happiness
is to write you own lines
