Emotion
An emotion hits me
causin' me to feel somethin' strange
I hit my~ knees & ask The Lord
to please help me change
From this distant stranger
back to the man I once knew.
" God I'm sick of livin' like this
please tell me ~ What must I do?
I'll do anything You ask,
if only ~ You'll take the pain away
Softly wipe the tears from my eyes
& help keep my emotions at bay
Cuz the darkness I'm in~
just won't allow me to see
Stealin' all emotion from my life~
it's bringin' out the worst in me
So, please ~ bring back your light
& see me out of this phase.
Back to the land of the living
Feelin' the sun & it's beautiful rays
Cause I'm so close to the edge
literally ~ bout to pull back the curtain
If I'm not saved now ~ there's no comin' back
of this much, I'm certain
I beg for the strength to fight sin
& the lure of it's powerful potion
Bringin' peace back to my world
& put to rest all the emotion
