save us oh Emmanuel
save us from our own evil
our praise to you Emmanuel
can you save us, will you tell

save us oh Emmanuel
save us from eternal spell
we pray you, our hearts to dwell
save us all Emmanuel

save us oh Emmanuel
save us from this tolling bell
look what now has us, befell
past Palestine, and Israel

save us oh Emmanuel
save us from our deathly knell
the present need begins to swell
do heads trump, to hearts foretell

ooh save us, oh Emmanuel
is it possible to, our anger quell
save us from well-crafted hell
what say, oh god of our moral

save us now Emmanuel
to believe in grace is just as well
if we can get it, none can tell, but
save us, ooh save us, Emmanuel
