Emmanuel - I Just Want To Know
I just want to know - Where did you go?
The summer days have fled, and all around is snow.
The daisies in their field, the green grass where we lay;
warmth embracing me - they all have gone away.
We were young, so very young; our world was filled with bliss,
and all that I could want. . . I tasted in your kiss!
Emmanuel, you were the sunshine of my soul.
I could flourish like a flower and be whole.
Piano Interlude
But one day I awoke to find my love was gone.
He left without a trace. A melancholy song
is drifting in the wind as snow falls from the sky.
Where did you go? The winter’s chill is my reply.
