Emmanuel - I Just Want To Know

I just want to know - Where did you go? The summer days have fled, and all around is snow. The daisies in their field, the green grass where we lay; warmth embracing me - they all have gone away. We were young, so very young; our world was filled with bliss, and all that I could want. . . I tasted in your kiss! Emmanuel, you were the sunshine of my soul. I could flourish like a flower and be whole. Piano Interlude But one day I awoke to find my love was gone. He left without a trace. A melancholy song is drifting in the wind as snow falls from the sky. Where did you go? The winter’s chill is my reply.

How I wish something from Enya's '' and winter came'' had accompanied this beautiful poem.

Interesting work for the contest..I had that song going through my head and now I can't remember the tune..I need to listen to it again..I noticed that you had dropped by..Your comments always add joy..Yes, I remember the song "Who Let The Dogs Out" ..One day a cousin of my husband's came by and I opened the door to tell them come on in and out went a rat terrier, a dauchshund and chihuahua mix, a pomerian, and German Weimaraner..So that brought to mind the song "Who Let The Dogs Out"..Sara

He went back to Mexico or somewhere Portugese. He got caught with a pound of pot the men in blue did seize. He didn't have a visa or a green card he could show. So in the middle of the night, his sad heart had to go. Maybe someday you'll meet again when calmer winds do blow. But maybe he's not really the don jaun you think you know. Peace. :) :):):)

Nice that you have a musical interlude in your work. My late father set about 8 of my poems to music. I can appreciate the bittersweet ending to this work as well. Peace & Love Matthew Anish
