Embracing

silently she writes pouring her heart out to him. confessing to him how much importance he is to her. how she longs to hold him tight in an embrace that would last an eternity. how she shivers from excitment just at the thought of his lips upon hers. every day that drifts by seems to take, what seems like, forever to pass. nights are long, filled with dreams that are of no help to her her worrisome thoughts. days seem empty without him by her side to keep her smiling and laughing. unexpected tears fall from her eyes, blotting the ink upon the paper. she tries to stop them, but the more she tries the harder they fall. she cries from missing him, wondering if he feels the same way. she wishes he could hold her tight to tell her not to worry, that they'd be all right. but try as she might to stop the ache inside of her it doesn't go away. it fades every now and then but comes back stronger and more vibrant then before. the ache for him seems to drain her emotionally. making her long for him to be in her embrace. although the ache from him is tearing her up she still holds on tight. hoping he's holding on just as tight. dedicated to Travis Patterson
