Notes About The Poem

We must always remember the past, for it has made us who we are today.

Catherine Johnson Broussard

Embrace

EMBRACE

Embrace your past; learning from each mistake;
unturned stones are your hopes.
Cherish your faults, they are what make you strong.
Believe in you; stand tall as the mighty Oak.
Never falling, holding the earth's secrets.
Listen, follow the words of your soul, their souls,
for they will never forsake you.
Be bold, you are their blessing;
they knew.
See your heart; find them; show their proudness on your face.
Speak your truths; theirs truths;
never forsaking; only EMBRACING.
