Line of inquiry: truth imbibed awaits assimilation we feel it in our bones in time dissolved meditation Early in the morning, when the world is still not awake, Shut to external noise and peering into the depths of my mind, I wish to make an inward journey and true light is all I seek Leaving all tensions, fears and nagging distractions behind. It’s a time when my mind gets liberated from the maze of cares And the world outside fades completely from view Filling me with peace, making me heir to all that God shares With truth slowly unfolding, blazing me with love so true. As I close my eyes and enter a state of deep meditation, I meet my God and commune to Him face to face, Leading my soul into a state of serene calm and rejuvenation Which in the noise of life, I can never experience. Through divine meditation, God speaks to my soul And as with a shower, parched grounds refresh, My heart gets refreshed, as God comes to console Healing me of all my hurts, making me truly fresh. . To what state of bliss, one enters when he sits apart From all crowd, enjoying God’s love that shall renew, Listening to the sweet strains of music in his heart, When light permeates through every bone and sinew. To that state of inner bliss, Oh Lord, carry me up! Make my mind merge with the universal spirit, When all veils of illusion shrouding the mind will be lifted up, And in me, new fountains of living waters shall erupt.

Yes, indeed, Valsa. I'm with you, sometimes I write out my prayers, especially if I am praying for a lot of people who have shown their faith in God by asking for prayer support in a certain area of their lives. I may know nothing of their situation; but the Holy Spirit does and he can intercede in my praying. Great write, made me think.

Simply as "religion" was meant be...a personal communion with the Maker and Partaker of One and All. With poetry like this I'm encouraged that humanity may be on the right track back to a more truthful and hopeful place of peace, enlightenment and understanding of our place within the cosmos and among ONE Another. Kudos, Dear Valsa

Dear sweet valsa, i really was inspired by the contest too but im not in a place to use my brain for rhymes however youv nailed it! Youv covered the line of enquiry so well and I especially love the lines “Listening to the sweet strains of music in his heart, When light permeates through every bone and sinew.” Power of meditation, and connection with God! Youv delivered here in such a seamless manner! I love also how youv ended the poem. I feel the sincerity of your plea, poetic and soulful. Best wishes. Sending you light always

Faith does not mean understanding, but accepting what God has given us. Great meditation, dear Valsa.

Dear Valsa, Thanks for sharing the intimacy of your meditation practice. The world would be so different if others would seek out that quiet 1-1 time with God you describe so well.

Beautiful! Not just communal worship but that sweet time alone with God’s love letter and prayers - it is a privilege that many pass up (why!?) Hugs and blessings, dear Valsa! …maybe your will read my poem “Revival in Late Winter.”
