Embezzling Jesus Freaks' Embellishments

Ashes to transcendence mid infested holy waters naught bearing ascertained compassionate divinity, mad puppet masters fleecing wings in lieu of ceremoniously exorcised influential malignancy at the right hand of almightily held hallucinations strapped over barrels & sanctimoniously flogged, no show of mercy notwithstanding devoted defenses, residing within sacredly inventive corrupt corporations embezzling enterprising riches' dutiful abstractions, bless them Father for they woefully neglected the word of all gods' intent and persuasions, serving no higher purpose than to gild collective repositories of sinfully en-massed wealth in the name of religion and the sacrificed blood of Jesus' crucified convictions written upon coveted covenants' ingrained biblical bluffs, struck settling false witnesses' far-side excised stonework

A very stinging indictment of phony religious institutions. Excellent write, Paloma. Now tell us how you really feel. Heh heh heh. That's why Jesus threw the moneychangers/crooks out of the house of God. Keep the love and knowledge flowing. Love always, my poetic friend.

Reminds me of the Rolling Stones song "Girl with the far away eyes." If you have never heard it, you must listen just for the laugh. Another great write Paloma:)

You have captured the thoughts of many, though in your amazing and mesmerizing way and expressed them as only you can. Business is business, every thing it seems anymore is centered around the need for the almighty dollar. I don't disagree with those who choose to support this institution, it is there right to do whatever they like. But just please keep the high pressure salespeople away from me. That's why I like to shop from home.

My sentiments exactly, I have many issues with the church, keep your distance when it comes to worship and faith. Thanks Chris.

This poem reminds me so much of James Joyce's Molly Bloom soliloquy with a religious twist. It is beautifully written without the ,"Oh yes" (ha ha)

I think I'm capable of being able to distinguish poetry from a cabbage, oh yes. Lol - I take that as quite a compliment, thanks Ralph. :)
